Background
Maggie Alphonsi MBE is a former England rugby world cup winner, where she hung her boots up for good in 2014 to become a household name in commentating on live rugby matches for ITV, BT Sport, SKY Sport and the BBC. Her rugby input helped England win a record breaking seven consecutive Six Nation crowns and was a crucial member of the team that won the 2014 Rugby World Cup.
‘You never know what you can achieve until you push yourself.’
From humble beginnings growing up on a council estate in South East London, Maggie has always wanted to be the best that she could be. Becoming a strong female role model when she only had her mum to look up to when young, she explains is one of her greatest achievements.
